Hawthorne University was founded in 1984 in Salt lake City, as an educational corporation whose philosophies, purposes, and objectives are consistent with collegiate institutions throughout the United States. The specific purpose is to provide quality education for resident students as well as for Distance Learning students, such as adults who find it difficult, if not impossible, to pursue a degree through the traditional on-campus approach.
