Since 1896, Oakwood College has provided students the opportunity to enter its halls of learning in preparation for service to community, country, and the world. The college is regionally accredited by the Southern Accrediting Association of Colleges and Schools and the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Department of Education. It offers a liberal arts curriculum in a Christ-centered atmosphere.
The college is situated on approximately 1,000 acres in Huntsville, Alabama, a cosmopolitan city in northwest Alabama, nestled in the beautiful Tennessee Valley at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Huntsville, fondly called "the space capital of the world," is home for the Marshall Space Center, and is recognized as being one of the most progressive cities in America.
