Oblate School of Theology was incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas, April 18, 1950. The School is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as an accredited institution of higher education.
The Church of the 21st century is called to the same missionary zeal as our predecessors, but with many more tools at our disposal to make the Gospel message come alive. Through the expressed mission plans of several of our related institutions, Assumption Seminary, the formation communities and the Mexican-American Cultural Center (MACC), we are making a concerted effort to bring lay ministry training to parishes and communities far away. At Oblate School of Theology the collaborative model of ministry includes the planning stage as well as its actual expression in lived experience.
