Waynesburg College is a private, Christian, liberal arts college located in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, USA. The college offers graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations, and enrolls over 2,100 students, including about 1,300 undergraduates. The college emphasizes leadership and service in its students.
It was founded in 1849 by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. It is currently affiliated with the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
A new Center for Research and Economic Development was to be completed in the fall of 2006, and aims to stimulate economic development in southwestern Pennsylvania through scientific research, expertise, resources, and partnerships.
