Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award associate degrees.
In accordance with the mission of the North Carolina Community College System, the mission of Western Piedmont Community College is to open the door to high-quality, accessible learning opportunities that minimize barriers to postsecondary education, maximize student success, and improve the lives and well-being of individuals.
The adult student is the primary focus of all programs and services offered at Western Piedmont Community College. With a participatory approach to decision-making, Western Piedmont seeks not only to meet the needs of each individual student, but also to meet the education and training needs of the community it serves.
